The strategic role of marketing management has become more crucial to the profitable operation and growth of businesses in recent years. In the Marketing Management Master you will learn how to stringently derive marketing strategies from the findings of market research and the specifications of company management, and to plan, implement and control them in a targeted manner.
In just 4 semesters you'll acquire the tools and strategies you need to succeed in any strategic marketing or corporate communication position or to operate in cross-functional teams. The program covers multiple subject areas under the umbrella of marketing management and offers comprehensive insight into subjects like communications, sales and digital marketing, public relations, consumer behavior or data-driven market research.
The Master's degree in Strategic Marketing includes practice-oriented courses, an integrated 12-week internship, a semester abroad and a market research project to help you develop your marketing-related and problem-solving skills.

You will then write your practice-oriented Master's thesis in the fourth semester. This means that you will receive your degree with 120 ECTS already in the fourth semester.
During the Master of Strategic Marketing Management you will spend an integrated semester abroad at a partner university of our 180+ large network (PDF). Here you will have the opportunity to develop valuable intercultural skills and apply your language skills intensively. Your performance will be 100% credited, so you won't lose any ECTS and time.
You can choose the university yourself and our International Office (IO) will support you with the application and study abroad planning process.
During your Marketing Management Master's you can additionally earn an international double degree at ISM. This means that, in addition to ISM's Master degree, you can also work towards receiving a second, internationally recognised Master's degree from a partner university abroad. At some partner universities, earning the Double Degree is even possible as part of the integrated semester abroad. You will receive two Master's degrees in two or two and a half years and make a decisive step for your international career. In addition, the double degree will consolidate your intercultural skills and expand your personal network.
Note: If you have not studied a Bachelor's degree in the economics field or if your quantitative ECTS points are not sufficient, you can qualify yourself for your postgraduate management studies with the ISM Pre-Master (one semester, 30 ECTS points).
