Diploma in Creative Multimedia

Diploma in Creative Multimedia provides knowledge and skills related to equipment like computer, digital camera, audio recording and mixing and aims to provide knowledge to digital media for global need in personnel multimedia sectors. This course aims to provide students with skill and knowledge to produce and develop digital content (such as web design, photography, video editor, animation) for online and offline courses.

With the digital transformation businesses replacing orthodox business, the Diploma in Creative Multimedia at Geomatika is transparently design to enthusiastically adopt this digitization in brilliant mind. Each graduate is expected to be expert in the particular field and have a creative mindset in managing projects. Through project and practical exercises using digital tools such as computer software (2d and 3d imaging, animation, video editing, audio mixing, designing) video recording tools (single camera production, multiple camera productions, live recording), audio re-cording (music production) and photography, students will be up-to-date with the current multimedia technologies and will be able to come up with innovative idea for digital content. They will also be exposed to essential teamwork as practised as most industries related field.

There is assuredly a global need for essential personnel in Multimedia sectors. Graduates may go aboard into a career as Multimedia Designer, Webmaster, Inter-face Designer, Props Designer & Animator, Web Designer, Art Director, Post Pro-duction Artist/Designer, Video Production Team, Animator, Photographer, Digital Illustrator, etc. Students may also choose to continue their education and gain advanced standing into any of the degree programmes offered in Malaysia.

Local Admission

• SPM: Pass with at least Grade Credit in three (3) Subjects; OR
• SKM / SVM: Possesses SKM Level 3 / Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) – Bridging Programme will be conducted on first semester (Fundamental of Graphic)
• Notes*: The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme; OR
• Certificate: A certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a relevant field with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
• STPM: Pass with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject; OR
• STAM: Pass with at least Grade “Maqbul”; OR
• UEC / O-Level: Pass with at least Grade C in three (3) subjects; OR
• APEL.A: Pass APEL.A T-4; OR
• Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government AND Pass an interview (online / virtual / conventional) OR submission of student’s portfolio, to be determined by HEP as required.

International Admission

The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at University of GEOMATIKA Malaysia are as follows:

• Malaysia University English Test (MUET) – Band 2.0
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Score 200

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika International’s English Program
