Our programme covers a broad range from Car Design to Mobile Device Design and Medical Product Design, giving you the skills to develop innovative solutions for different applications. You gain knowledge of design fundamentals as well as digital and technological methods, including visual communication, form and composition, CAD, prototyping, and 3D printing. Sustainability, inclusive practices, and responsible design are key focuses. Hands-on experience is key: Through studio projects, internships, and interdisciplinary work, you apply your knowledge directly. In the Bachelor's programme in Product Design, you will combine fundamental design principles with modern technologies and user-centred innovation. You will develop your creative and technical skills in visual communication, CAD, prototyping and sustainable design, and apply your knowledge directly in practical studio projects.

You will also acquire in-depth knowledge of form and design, storytelling and ergonomics. In addition, you will explore smart materials, ethical issues in design and future-oriented design approaches.

Specialisations such as car design, mobile device design and medical product design, as well as internships, interdisciplinary collaboration and an international focus, will prepare you optimally for your professional career in product design.

To apply for the Product Design bachelor's degree programme, you need:

• Recognised university entrance qualification, e.g. the German Abitur, Fachhochschulreife or an equivalent international qualification that entitles you to study at a university in Germany*
• Proof of your English language skills* (TOEFL with at least 80 points, IELTS with 6.5 or Duolingo with 95 points) or an official letter from your previous educational institution confirming that your lessons were conducted in English (Medium of Instruction Letter)
• Curriculum vitae with current passport photo
