The Master in Luxury and Fashion Management combines core business management knowledge with different focal points, which qualifies students for future careers in marketing, branding, international trade, purchasing or sales in the luxury and consumer goods industries.
As an university of applied sciences, the majority of the lecturers at ISM are practitioners with comprehensive practical experience and some work in companies such as Montblanc, Hugo Boss or Procter & Gamble. In addition to projects with companies and study excursions, the Master in Fashion Management also includes a twelve-week internship period to enable you to gather as much practical work experiences as possible.

The Master Fashion Management is carried out in three semesters plus the practice-oriented Master thesis. In the first semester you will get to know different sales structures, but also the right choice of real estate for your retail strategy. Pricing and product development of luxury goods also play a role at the beginning of your studies. Modules from the areas of Customer Relationship Management, Brand management and Design management are built on this.
You will spend the third semester of your Master's in Fashion Management at a foreign university that cooperates closely with ISM in order to shed light on the international perspective of the subject and promote intercultural skills. The course is rounded off by a practical phase (internship) and practical projects integrated into the lectures. You will then write your practice-oriented Master's thesis in the fourth semester.

You will spend the third semester abroad at one of our partner universities. The International Office will support you with this. The semester abroad allows you to deepen your subject-specific knowledge. You will also set individual priorities and learn about the intercultural characteristics of your chosen cultural area. At the same time, you will perfect your language skills. Your classes abroad will be 100% credited, so you won't lose any ECTS and time.

Fast Track: If you wish to shorten your studies to only 3 semesters, you can select the Fast Track option, in which you may skip the semester abroad.
Double Degree: If you would like to receive a Double Degree, we offer this option in collaboration with several partner institutions.
Like all ISM Master's programs, the Master's fashion management also includes an integrated semester abroad. You will spend the first two semesters at ISM and in the third semester at an ISM partner university. In the Master Fashion Management you can choose your partner university from a network of almost 30 universities (PDF). This network is constantly being expanded. For example, you can study at INSEEC in Paris, Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland, Domus Academy in Milano, Italy or Florida International University in Miami, United States.
During the semester abroad, you can set individual priorities and get to know the intercultural peculiarities of the chosen cultural area. You will also improve your language skills. You can choose the university yourself and our International Office (IO) will support you with the application and study abroad planning process.
An international double degree can be optionally obtained with the Fashion Management Master. In addition to the Master's degree at the ISM, you can also obtain a second, internationally recognized Master's degree in two or two and a half years. The decisive step for your international career is supported by the expansion of your personal network with international students and lecturers. In addition, you will consolidate your linguistic and intercultural skills with a double degree.
