Whether international management, global value creation or business communication – this International Management program teaches you a wide range of business topics and thus combines the classic management principles of business studies with international aspects and requirements.


The curriculum of the B.Sc. management degree covers everything from Business Administration and Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, E-Business, Finance, up to elective courses in Human Resources Management, Controlling or Entrepreneurship.


Our Bachelor of management students learn about the foundation and complexities of international business operations, including cultural differences and diverse business practices in various countries.

7th Semester (optional)

During the seventh semester you can optionally spend a second semester abroad (this is called the "Global Track").


The Bachelor of Science in International Management at ISM offers specializations in Global Value Networks, International Marketing, International Management Strategy, Supply Chain Management, Multinational Controlling, Mergers & Acquisitions, People Management, and Consulting, providing a comprehensive foundation in managing businesses across global markets.


You will also gain valuable and exciting practical experience abroad with a compulsory international semester during your studies in the fouth semester, spent at a partner university in Europe or overseas. During your studies, you are also required to complete 20 weeks of internships during semester breaks, 10 weeks of which must have an international focus.

The B.Sc. International Management includes a mandatory semester abroad in the fourth semester, either in Europe or overseas, to expand management knowledge, language skills, and intercultural competences. ISM’s network of 190 partner universities (PDF) ensures full credit for achievements abroad. With the optional Global Track in the seventh semester, you can add another semester overseas to further deepen your international expertise and skills.

  • The original must be submitted by the start of your studies! If your certificate is not available yet, let your study advisor know and submit a transcript or records and info about the highschool you're attending.
  • Copy of your national ID card or passport
  • One digital passport photo (colored, jpg format, high resolution).


  • Alternatively, prospective students with a special educational background or a particular aptitude in their future field of study can also be recognized under the German Higher Education Act.

 

Optional documents: 

  • External proof of knowledge of English language (such as English certificate, only if available e.g. TOEFL test). However, these certificates are not obligatory for your application to study at the ISM.
  • Work/internship certificates (if available) and you believe will support your application
  • Proof of (German) health insurance (can also be submitted later, right before starting your studies).
  • Students who have begun a study program at a different university (state or private) and wish to continue it at the ISM can have both their credit for study or examinations, and their language skills in English recognized.
