Master of Information Technology

The Master of Information Technology (IT) program provides the knowledge and abilities needed to design, produce, and maintain applications using cutting-edge technologies, implementation, and new innovations. IT graduates are taught to focus on the applications, configuration, deployment, and needs of organisations and people across a broad range of industries. Information Technology professionals are well-equipped to handle duties that require the planning and management of technology infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on resolving the organisational needs that arise as a result of computer technology.

Our IT partnership with industry partners allows students to be exposed to real-life case studies connected to the fourth industrial revolution (IR4.0), allowing them to design new solutions even before graduation. Geomatika’s Centre of Emerging Technology and Innovative Application (CETIA) will certify you for IR 4.0 Emerging Technologies. This qualification assures that you are prepared to satisfy the needs of projects and businesses worldwide.

Local Admission

• BACHELOR DEGREE:
• A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Senate; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent, with CGPA less than 2.00, with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a relevant field, and pass the evaluation on personal statement demonstrating knowledge, skills, experience and achievement related to the programme: OR
• MASTER DEGREE: A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) as accepted by the Senate; OR
• APEL: Pass a APEL.A (T-7); OR
• Additional Requirement:
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience AND Pass the evaluation on personal statement demonstrating knowledge, skills, experience, and achievement related to the programme along with their curriculum vitae (CV); OR
• Pass additional pre-requisite courses

Any equivalent qualification recognized by Malaysian Government

International Admission

The English Language Entry Requirement for International Student at UNIVERSITY OF GEOMATIKA MALAYSIA are as follows:

• Malaysia University English Test (MUET) – Band 4.0
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Band 6.0

Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) – Score 6.0 Mid B2

** For students who do not have the above English Qualification, they must undergo Geomatika International’s English Program
