The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in the Business of Fashion on-campus degree program at LIM College teaches students how to develop fashion products from start to finish – everything from coming up with the initial idea, to bringing it to life, and getting it to consumers through brick-and-mortar stores and digital platforms.
This Fashion Merchandising-oriented business degree program fuses business with creativity, offering a window into the entirety of the multi-trillion-dollar global fashion industry.
This program is only open to students who already have an associate degree or transfer students with at least 60 credits.

If you already have an associate degree, or are transferring in with at least 60 credits, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Business of Fashion provides a more affordable option to streamline your education and earn a Fashion Merchandising-oriented bachelor’s degree in two years or less.

As a result, students have opportunities to work on industry projects and regularly excel in major scholarship competitions sponsored by organizations such as the National Retail Federation Foundation and the Fashion Scholarship Fund.
Experiential learning is key to success in fashion, and at LIM, we make it a priority. Our students have one-of-a-kind experiences in New York City like taking backstage tours at Nordstrom and volunteering at New York Fashion Week.
Networking is also an essential component of the fashion business, and at LIM making professional connections begins in the classroom. Faculty members have high-level experience in everything from product development and merchandise planning to buying and sustainable sourcing for companies such as American Eagle Outfitters, Target, Cotton Incorporated, and more.
We also regularly bring in industry leaders and alumni to share their expertise and career advice. For example, LIM hosts the “NXT in Retail” panel discussion series, where fashion business professionals discuss emerging industry issues.
