Develop Industry-Ready Artificial Intelligence Skills (BSc Artificial Intelligence) The BSc Artificial Intelligence programme is designed for students who are curious about how intelligent technologies work and how they are shaping the world around us. You will build a strong foundation in computing, programming, and data, while learning how artificial intelligence is used to solve real-world problems across industries.
Through hands-on labs, guided projects, and practical assignments, you will explore key areas of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, language-based technologies, and image analysis. The programme balances technical learning with creativity and critical thinking, helping you understand not just how AI systems are built, but when and why they should be used.
Alongside technical skills, the programme places strong emphasis on ethical, legal, and societal considerations. By graduation, you will be confident in applying AI concepts responsibly and thoughtfully, with the skills and mindset needed to begin a career in this fast-evolving field or continue your studies.
This undergraduate programme is ideal for students passionate about technology, problem-solving, and AI applications. It is suitable for those aiming to develop analytical, programming, and computational skills for careers in AI, software development, or data-driven industries. Students who enjoy exploring how machines can learn, process information, and interact with humans will find this programme particularly engaging, as it combines technical training with opportunities for creative problem-solving and applied projects.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as AI Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Analyst, or Junior AI Developer, across international organisations.
Gisma University of Applied Sciences is state-recognised. It also benefits from AMBA accreditation, awarded for the Global MBA and shared by only six universities in Germany and 2% worldwide. Gisma is the only university in Germany with BGA accreditation, recognising responsible management, and strong student outcomes. We also hold the BSIS Impact Label from EFMD for our regional social, economic, and intellectual contributions.
Gisma University of Applied Sciences supports flexible, personalised learning through a hybrid model. You will spend part of your time in face-to-face sessions at our Berlin campus, complemented by e-learning modules.
Interactive lectures, group projects, and development labs will ensure practical application of theory, while online discussions, readings, and exercises strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our student-centred pedagogy fosters collaboration, hands-on experience, and personalised coaching throughout your journey.
The full-time bachelor’s degree programme comprises a standard study period of six semesters. The curriculum includes a ‘mobility window’ in the 5th semester: a semester reserved for you to study abroad or undertake further modules with an applied focus as part of career development.
For the bachelor’s programmes, the total student workload for the courses is 180 ECTS credits.
A key element of this programme is the Career Development Semester, during which students work on an end-to-end applied project reflecting real challenges in supply chain and operations management. Students analyse a practical business problem, collect and interpret relevant operational data, and propose feasible supply chain or logistics solutions. This applied approach strengthens analytical thinking, teamwork, and professional skills, preparing students for real-world roles in global supply chain environments.
